The Oil Pump O-Ring is a rubber ring that seals the oil pump body to the converter housing to prevent oil from leaking between components.
HOW IT WORKS
The ring receives fluid pressure on the low-pressure side, which increases the force of the ring. The malleability of the ring allows it to fit into grooves and indentations to form a proper seal.
WHY IT MATTERS
The o-ring is an essential component to seal parts together and prevent unnecessary oil leakage. Oil leaks at the converter housing could impair the proper functioning of the transmission.
