The Main Housing Breather Assembly allows the transmission to vent correctly and maintain pressure in the transmission.
HOW IT WORKS
The Main Housing Breather Assembly directs the air through the filter to ventilate the air and ensure adequate pressure in the transmission.
WHY IT MATTERS
If the Main Housing Breather Assembly is ill-fitted for your engine or is made substandard, the plug could cause excessive pressure in the transmission. Excess pressure can lead to early transmission failure or damage to transmission parts. The ability of the breather assembly to do its job correctly is especially important if the vehicle is idle.
